Biography
Arrived at Towson State College in 1969 as an English faculty member. Chappell became Dean of Humanistics, Social and Managerial Studies in 1979. This was renamed the College of Liberal Arts when the college system was established at Towson State University in 1983. Chappell retained the Dean's position until 1997. She also served as Acting Provost and Executive Vice President in 1995.
