Biography

Joined Towson State University in 1989 as a faculty member in the Computer and Information Sciences Department. He served as department chair from 1998-1999. From 2004 until 2007, he served as Towson University’s Vice President for Economic and Community Outreach. He was named Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs in 2007 and retained this position until 2009 when he became President of West Virginia University. He remaimed in this role for five years and then was named President of Clemson University in 2013.
