Fraternity and Sorority History, 1968 - 1969

 File — Box: 1, Folder: 3

Scope and Contents

From the Record Group:

The Fraternity and Sorority Records provide documentation from and about fraternities and sororities between the years 1926 and 2002. A significant number of records reflect challenges faced by black fraternities and sororities. Documents may have been created as a result of many functions, including but not limited to the creation of the book Seventy-Five Years of Teacher Education by the Alumni Association in 1941; the movement to restore fraternities and sororities in the 1960s; social society activities; administrative requirements of the Student Government Association, building managers or police, and national or local fraternity and sorority organizations; and the faculty advising structure. Documents include compiled histories, minutes and reports, rosters, personal information of members, behavior or offense reports, correspondence, and advising notes.
