Conditions Governing Use

Towson University Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) is the owner of the original materials and digitized images in our collections; however, the collection may contain materials for which copyright is not held. Biographical / Historical

Facilities Management plans, designs, constructs, maintains and operates Towson University’s physical environment and are responsible for approximately six million square feet of space in 57 buildings on 329 acres.

Maintenance

The Maintenance Department offers a wide range of maintenance and repair services, ranging from pest control to ice and snow removal. They also perform small construction projects and offer vehicle rentals for employees and students traveling on university business.

Planning & Construction

Planning & Construction develops the campus master plan, which embodies the university’s long-term vision for the future physical development of campus. Once approved, they advocate for and complete the major construction projects outlined in the plan.

Sustainability

The Office of Sustainability works to reduce the campus's greenhouse gas emissions through energy conservation, recycling and waste reduction, green building practices, alternative transportation choices and education and research.

Receiving, Warehousing, Property Disposal & Moving

Material Management operates the university's central warehouse and serves as the primary receiving hub for campus deliveries. They perform office moves and maintain an inventory of class record books, TU logo envelopes and interoffice envelopes for departments ordering supplies. They also help departments properly dispose of property and maintain adequate record-keeping practices to ensure compliance and information security.
