Historical Note

Academic programs offered through the Department of Biological Sciences prepare students for a wide range of careers such as teacher, research scientist, environmental biologist, geneticist, conservation biologist, wildlife biologist, forester, fisheries scientist, pollution control agent and marine biologist.

Majors also go on to graduate studies in biology, medicine, dentistry and related fields such as optometry, pharmacy, podiatry and veterinary science.
