Biographical / Historical
The purpose of the club shall be to raise awareness about problems and issues currently affecting the countries of Ethiopia and Eritrea. We seek to promote our rich and diverse culture by teaching others about our cultures and traditions while encouraging unity amongst Ethiopian and Eritrean students and setting aside the existing social and political tensions between the two countries. Students will be able to form relationships within the organization through different activities such as the weekly meetings, community service, and charity events. EESA will collaborate with not only multi-ethnic organizations in Towson University but also other Ethiopian-Eritrean organizations in surrounding colleges, while increasing recognition of these two countries in the Towson community and the Baltimore- Washington Metropolitan Area.
