Biographical / Historical
Each year the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) releases a case, either civil or criminal, which will be prepared by colleges across the nation. Colleges will prepare both sides of the argument and compete against other various Universitys in the AMTA regional tournament in February. The commitment to Towson Mock Trial is a full year commitment beginning in the fall and ending at the end of the Spring Semester. Direct examination, cross examination, admittance of evidence, rules of evidence, and objections are a few of the concepts used during practices and at tournaments.
