Biographical / Historical
The Towson University Investment Group (TUIG) was founded to create a forum where highly motivated students could acquire real-world experience by completing quality qualitative and quantitative research. This organization provides the experience of managing a real investment portfolio. The TUIG experience supplements the education provided by the Towson University College of Business & Economics. Students benefit by gaining a familiarity with researching, analyzing, and managing equity investments.
Our actively managed portfolio seeks to achieve superior returns by:
Maintaining a value-oriented philosophy
Maintaining a long-term investment horizon
Creating thorough research reports to make buy, sell, and hold decisions
