Biographical / Historical

The Marshals began in 1921 with the purpose of ushering at school assemblies and ceremonies and to serve as hosts and hostesses at said events. Marshall duties included planning and management of official gatherings; facilities management; material distribution and collection; and the seating, attendance, and policing of student behavior during events and programs.

MARSHAL functions as an acronym as well:

M - Manners, A - Associations, R - Responsibility, S - Service, H - Hospitality, A - Attendance, L - Loyalty
