This collection contains materials dating from approximately 1910 through the 1960s belonging to Elizabeth, Laura, and Hannah Hanway (all Maryland State Normal School (MSNS) alumni) including elementary school through university notebooks and assignments, later alumni materials, and a scrapbook from Hannah's time at MSNS.

Anne Elizabeth Hartje, a member of Maryland State Normal School's class of 1931 served on various alumni committees including the Alumni Board of Directors, the Alumni Committee for the College of Education, the Phonathon Committee, and the Towson University Alumni Council for Towson University. This collection includes correspondence, photographs, personal notes, publications, programs, and other types of memorabilia.

Muriel Weeks was an alumn of the State Teacher's College and served as a member of the Alumni Committee for Towson University and the Reunion Committee for her classes 25th, 45th, and 50th reunions. This collection consists of correspondence, photographs, and memorabilia. It also contains documents relating to her participation in the Towson University Alumni Association.

Abstract

This collection which dates from 1941 to 1946 contains materials evidencing Maryland State Normal School/State Teachers College alumni activities during and after World War II. These materials include newsletters from STC to MSNS/STC alumni serving in the armed forces; individual alumni files including photographs, letters, cards, and other personal correspondence; and lists of serving alumni.
