Overview The Baltimore Teachers’ Training School opened on January 5, 1901 at the corner of Lafayette Square and Greene Street in Baltimore City. It was established by the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners in response to a call for educational reform. This collection contains correspondence regarding the 1924 merger of the Baltimore Teachers’ Training School with the Maryland State Normal School in, information about student life and activities, and official student records.
Overview Marion Buchman was an award-winning Baltimore poet and lecturer at the Johns Hopkins University. This collection contains personal and professional letters and correspondence; poetry drafts; magazines, anthologies, and newspaper clippings featuring the creator’s poetry; original documents and copies of memberships and awards; photographs; and an audio reel of a poetry reading by the creator.
Scope and Contents This collection contains the recorded minutes of the Faculty Senate; correspondence, reports, special committees, newspaper clippings and various other documents pertaining to the Faculty Senate of the State Colleges of Maryland.

Overview Earle Taylor Hawkins was the eighth president of Towson University from 1947 to 1969. The collection consists of documents concerning and kept by Dr. Earle Taylor Hawkins. They are papers of a personal nature that do not relate to his work at Towson State Teachers College. The collection consists of correspondence, honors, awards, speeches, event programs, and other activities that Dr. Hawkins was involved with both professionally and privately.
Scope and Contents This collection represents the creative works of Jonathan Leshnoff, composer and Towson University faculty member. Works begin in 1987 and continue into the present. The materials consist largely of musical sketches, drafts, and scores. Other materials include correspondence, composition references, ephemera, and recordings.
